"JUST DRIVER TRAINING is an amazing service! Melody Gullet was so patient and knowledgeable-her years of experience were clearly evident. In 2009, I met Melody for stick shift lessons for the first time and within two hours I was able to operate a stick shift!  Beyond that, I could drive up/down hill, park and back out of parking spots.  Another thing that I learned is how to make an emergency stop in a stick shift vehicle.  I got all of my money’s worth and I highly recommend this service to anyone (male or female) who wants to learn how to drive a stick shift correctly.”

"My Dad had me pick out a Porche for my Christmas gift and I could not drive a Stick Shift. I called JUST DRIVER TRAINING and Graham taught me in one lesson. I was amazed at how easy he made learning the manual transmission. I learned how the drive train works and just understanding the technical side of this type of vehicle, I mastered the clutch and controlling the vehicle in no time. I am confident I will drive my new Porche without damaging the gears. Thank goodness I went for Stick Shift lessons with this driving school. I am proud to announce I am a confident stick shift driver."

Stick shift driver training - Atlanta, Georgia driving school "If you ever want to learn how to drive a stick shift, JUST DRIVER TRAINING is the way to go. I signed up for the two hour class, and before I knew it I was driving a manual car in the middle of Saturday afternoon traffic! I am happy to report that I had no embarrassing stall outs in the middle of the intersections :).

I give much Thanks to my instructor Melody Gullet for a job well done. Her ability to teach is extraordinary. She never lost her patience or rushed me through the learning process like a relative or a friend might do if they were to teach me something new, like driving a 5-speed. Taking this course has given me the confidence to start looking at 5-speed cars at local dealerships. I can say without a doubt that my days of driving an Automatic car are numbered. The next car I get will be a 5-speed. HANDS DOWN!!!! Thank you!!"

Kraig gets his Sentra – you go Kraig!

“As parents, my wife and I discovered that we were not best suited to instruct our 15 year old son on how to drive. He was not a “natural” driver and our house was quite tense as we attempted to instruct him. Fortunately, new driving laws require young drivers to take an online drivers education course. Since we were incredibly impressed with the JUST DRIVER TRAINING online course, we contacted them to provide 6 hours of professional behind-the-wheel instruction. We noted the difference in our son’s driving skills immediately. While we still completed the 40 hours of parental behind-the-wheel instruction, we also asked JUST DRIVER TRAINING to provide an additional 6 hours of instruction plus 2 hours of test preparation just prior to the driving exam.

The results were spectacular! Our son passed the exam in the high 90's and is a much better driver because of the help we received. I feel much more comfortable allowing our son to drive alone because he had instruction from JUST DRIVER TRAINING. And one more thing…I’m also enjoying the reduction in insurance costs because of JUST DRIVER TRAINING!”
- Rick Doremus (Kraig’s Dad)

p.s. … he bought a Sentra just like yours!

Kenan Davis passes his driver's exam

DDS Examiner congratulates Kenan Davis after passing his driver's exam in the high 90's earning himself a regular license to drive a regular vehicle despite his cerebral palsy. With special training techniques and skills, Melody customized training to suit Kenan's needs behind the wheel without having the expense of acquiring a special vehicle. Permission had to be obtained from the Department of Driver Services to have the endorsement for handicapped vehicle modifications removed from Kenan's Learner's permit. The DDS granted him 1 test and 30 days to pass or the endorsement would remain in force.  Kenan was determined to earn himself a regular license. Well done, Kenan.

Tyler passes his driver's exam despite
spina bifida

Special Needs driver training - Atlanta, Georgia driving school

Tyler, a Woodstock High School graduate, passed his driver's test on May 17th, 2008 with flying colors. Tyler has spina bifida, and was determined to drive a vehicle. He wanted to have his independence and not rely on friends and family to take him around. He had approached other driving schools, who insisted he would require a specially modified vehicle, fitted with wheelchair accessibility and hand controls before they would teach him. Tyler became despondent with the news but a close friend of the family, Barbara Bonatucci, encouraged Tyler to contact Graham, the owner of JUST DRIVER TRAINING.

Graham, who has international experience as an advanced driver training instructor in all facets of driver training welcomed the opportunity to assist Tyler in making his dream come true. Graham evaluated Tyler's abilities and through his experience with similar cases, coached Tyler in his regular training vehicle using special driving techniques. Tyler was enthusiastic and felt comfortable and safe behind the wheel with Graham. Tyler learned quickly and mastered the techniques to become a competent and safe driver.

On taking his driver's test exam at the Department of Driver Services in Canton, the examiner was highly impressed with Tyler's driving ability and passed him with a score in the high 90's.

Tyler earned a regular driving license taken in a regular vehicle. This was an enormous achievement for a person with his type of disability. The JUST DRIVER TRAINING team congratulates Tyler on his achievement.

Super Star Driver Club

Teens achieving 100% on driver's exams have succeeded in mastering the correct attitude, techniques for responsible driving and understanding driving principles. This foundation builds a safer and more responsible driver as they gain experience behind the wheel. It is of extreme importance for Teens to learn responsibility behind the wheel. A weak foundation leads to poor driving skills, a failure or low passing grade and compromised judgment in an emergency.

Cherokee County Partner in Education Just Driver Training at Freedom Middle School in Canton, Georgia

Ms. Karen Hawley, Principal at Freedom Middle School and the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce recognized JUST DRIVER TRAINING with an Award of Excellence as a valued Partner in Education for Cherokee County Schools.

JUST DRIVER TRAINING provides a life saving program to students in the Cherokee County Schools and Ms. Hawley feels this is a benefit to students in having the knowledge of the Georgia Driving Laws and requirements before they are eligible for their driver permit.

This ongoing educational program is aimed at bringing awareness of safety on the roads and preparing young teens for an important step in their lives.

As a Partner in Education, the Atlanta area driving school launched a special program for Middle and High School students in Cherokee County based on The Drive Program for Schools, TADRA (Teenage and Adult Driver Responsibility Act), and Georgia's Joshua's Law.

Melody Gullett from JUST DRIVER TRAINING presented the program at Freedom Middle School, Creekland Middle School, Creekview High School, and Sequoyah High School, where over 2000 Cherokee County students learned about the laws in Georgia that affect Teen Drivers and identified distracted driving from a new enhanced video featuring 100 special effects. Emphasis was placed on attendance, behavior and grades which play an important role in obtaining and retaining a learner's permit and driver's license.
Students were given the opportunity to experience a "Classroom on Wheels" – the training vehicle with safety features used in training young Teens to drive. The stick-shift vehicle also make an appearance at each school and students enjoyed exploring the safety controls and equipment in the vehicle. Other schools in the county are scheduled for the program in 2009.
