• Kenan Davis makes history Behind the Wheel with JUST DRIVER TRAINING despite his Cerebral Palsy

Canton driver Kenan Davis makes history Behind the Wheel with Just Driver Training despite his Cerebral PalsyKenan Davis, a resident of Canton, Georgia passed his driver's test with 91% at the DDS in Cartersville on June 16th 2009. Kenan has Cerebral Palsy and it was determined at the time of his learner's exam, that he would require a specially modified vehicle with hand controls in order to obtain a driver's license. Kenan had read about Tyler Kizer, who had trained through JUST DRIVER TRAINING and contacted the school.

Graham and Melody, specialist instructors, evaluated Kenan's ability and placed him behind the wheel in the regular teen driver training vehicle. Kenan made great progress and even drove on Interstate 400 to Perimeter Mall in Atlanta during one of the training sessions. The Gullett's approached the DDS Headquarters in Conyers requesting the endorsement for hand controls on Kenan's learner's permit be removed so that he could be tested in the schools regular vehicle. The Department gave Kenan one chance and 30 days in which to pass - With special driver training, Kenan only needed one chance to prove his excellent driving abilities.

The DDS examiner in Cartersville commented on his excellent driving and accuacy in the skills test. She was amazed at how well he had been taught to control the vehicle despite his disability.

Kenan is the proud holder of a regular driver's license and can now drive a standard motor vehicle. The Team at JUST DRIVER TRAINING is extremely proud of Kenan. WELL DONE! Kenan.

"On September 5, 2009 I met Melody for stick shift lessons for the first time and within two hours I was able to operate a stick shift! I got all of my money’s worth and I believe that there is no one who could have taught me how to drive a stick shift better than she did! I highly recommend this service to anyone (male or female) who wants to learn how to drive a stick shift. Just Driver Training is an amazing service! Melody Gullet was so patient and knowledgeable-her years of experience were clearly evident."

"My Dad had me pick out a Porche for my Christmas gift and I could not drive a Stick Shift. I called Just Driver Training and Graham taught me in one lesson. I was amazed at how easy he made learning the manual transmission. I learned how the drive train works and just understanding the technical side of this type of vehicle, I mastered the clutch and controlling the vehicle in no time. I am confident I will drive my new Porche without damaging the gears. Thank goodness I went for Stick Shift lessons with this driving school. I am proud to announce I am a confident stick shift driver."

Testimonial:

"If you ever want to learn how to drive a stick shift, "Just Driver Training" is the way to go. I signed up for the two hour class, and before I knew it I was driving a manual car in the middle of Saturday afternoon traffic! I am happy to report that I had no embarrassing stall outs in the middle of the intersections :). I give much Thanks to my instructor Melody Gullet for a job well done. Her ability to teach is extraordinary. She never lost her patience or rushed me through the learning process like a relative or a friend might do if they were to teach me something new, like driving a 5speed. Taking this course has given me the confidence to start looking at 5 speed cars at local dealerships. I can say without a doubt that my days of driving an Automatic car are numbered. The next car I get will be a 5 speed. HANDS DOWN!!!! Thank you!!"

• TYLER KIZER OF WOODSTOCK OVERCOMES HIS DISABILITY AND PASSES HIS DRIVER'S TEST
AT DDS IN CANTON THROUGH JUST DRIVER TRAINING
Driving School offers driver training for special needs drivers Tyler, a Woodstock High School graduate, passed his driver's test on May 17th, 2008 with flying colors. Tyler has spina bifida, and was determined to drive a vehicle. He wanted to have his independence and not rely on friends and family to take him around. He had approached other driving schools, who insisted he would require a specially modified vehicle, fitted with wheelchair accessibility and hand controls before they would teach him.

Tyler became despondent with the news but a close friend of the family, Barbara Bonatucci, encouraged Tyler to contact Graham, the owner of JUST DRIVER TRAINING.

Graham, who has international experience as an advanced driver training instructor in all facets of driver training welcomed the opportunity to assist Tyler in making his dream come true.

Graham evaluated Tyler's abilities and through his experience with similar cases, coached Tyler in his regular training vehicle using special driving techniques. Tyler was enthusiastic and felt comfortable and safe behind the wheel with Graham. Tyler learned quickly and mastered the techniques to become a competent and safe driver.

On taking his driver's test exam at the Department of Driver Services in Canton, the examiner was highly impressed with Tyler's driving ability and passed him with a score in the high 90's.

Tyler earned a regular driving license taken in a regular vehicle. This was an enormous achievement for a person with his type of disability. The JUST DRIVER TRAINING team congratulates Tyler on his achievement.
